This first file is one that we would definately recommend. It is a patch that you put in your tachyon directory (it's only one file). When you run the program file it makes tachyon more stable, reduces the chances of getting a space.icd error, and speeds up the gameplay (This was my experience). This one is similar to the nofog patch. You put in your tachyon directory (it's only one file) just like you would with the nofog patch. I got a little happy with taking screenshots of the SSX1 prototype, They are all 640x480 and I weeded out most (if not all) the boring ones. =)

Extract the .pcx files (flat picture). The .pak files are the useful ones though. This lets you add/delete/extract. *WARNING* Full extraction takes out about 8 thousand files and a LOT of your harddrive. Open up the .pff files in your tachyon directory or cd. NovaCentral will make a full manipulation program (and post it) when they finish up a few other side projects, hopefully. (Novacentral Mirror)

Now that you have extracted the files and modified them, put em back into the pff so the game can access them. (drag file over the packit.bat icon). Note: This is a basic rip off of the PackIt for DF, correcting file names / errors.
